The Buyout: How the "War" for Greenland Was Just a Distraction. AI-Generated.
We all just breathed a sigh of relief. For the last three weeks, the world watched in horror as President Trump threatened to take Greenland "one way or the other." We saw Danish troops mobilizing in the North Atlantic. We saw NATO invoking Article 5. We saw the doomsday clock tick forward.

The Right’s Loud Romance With Violence and Fascism
For decades, American conservatives have warned about the “moral decline” of the United States. Sometimes those warnings sounded sincere. I remember the Terri Schiavo case, when many conservatives framed the removal of a feeding tube as a profound moral failure. You could argue some of that outrage was politically convenient, but it was at least plausible that many of the people involved genuinely believed life was sacred and violence, broadly defined as merely ending a human life (even out of medical mercy), was wrong.

Venezuela’s Machado Hands Trump Nobel Peace Prize Medal In Ultimate Suck-Up Move
Donald Trump is insecure. He shuffles about seeking undo praise and unwarranted prizes. He is a secondhander in all of this. His ways reflect that of a child, not in need of sustenance or even love, but a spoiled brat yearning for attention.

The Remarkable, Heroic Life of Ted Williams
When you think of the Boston Red Sox, names such as David Ortíz, Pedro Martínez, and the late Tim Wakefield come to mind. However, the Red Sox player who is the focus of this story is none other than Ted Williams. Even if you're not a baseball fan, you've probably heard of his name at least once. New York attorney general sues Trump administration over offshore wind project freeze
President Trump should not be able to block the wind energy projects that would power over a half million homes. However, this does not mean he is a champion for energy and fossil fuels. In fact, he is a detractor in that realm. The government ought to have no say about the building of private property, even if it is for poor performing sources like wind turbines.

Starmer Talks to Trump.
Sir Keir Starmer spoke to President Trump on the telephone last night. They spoke at length, according to a Downing Street Spokesman, about Greenland and the tanker Bella 1 or Marinera. Sir Keir Starmer's view on Greenland is in line with other European leaders. That is, they stand with the Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. Ms. Frederiksen has said that if the US were to invade Greenland, it would be the end of NATO. And rightly so, Denmark and America are NATO Allies. It would be a literal stab in Denmark's back if America went ahead and invaded Denmark. How can a friendship stand when your close friend has done something to offend you? That would be the case between the US and Denmark over Greenland. It would only embolden people like Putin.

Putin Dispatches Naval Vessels.
Vlad "The Invader" Putin (taken from Vlad "The Impaler" Tepes) has officially stepped into the situation between America and Venezuela on the high seas. It seems the capture of Nicolas Maduro, who is now facing trial in New York, crossed a red line for Russia. Maduro and Putin are close allies, and Maduro's successor, Delcy Rodriguez, will be just as close with her Russian counterpart.

Miniature Mind Musings #11:
Are there infinite levels to this lowness, or is there a sale on somewhere? Blink for one minute… Sheesh! I don’t think words like “politics” or “leadership” are gonna be definitions that leave the masses feeling all warm and fuzzy inside anymore for a long time.
