legislation
The bills that Congress reject are as informative as the ones it does. Reviews of all the legislation that meet their fate in government halls.
The M.O.R.E Act
The M.O.R.E Act In December 2020, the House of Representatives passed two federal bills that support our favorite girl: Mary Jane. The bill we will be talking about in this post is the M.O.R.E Act - which is the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act, and the other bill is the Medical Marijuana Research Act (MMJ Research Act).

The Orange Jesus and The Apocalyptic Legislative Loonies
Soooo…. The Champion of the entire right wing has spent all the money the National Republican Committee had on hand. I’m too financially challenged to gauge what that means exactly, but if the NRC is paying for Their Champion’s legal bills, they have some collecting to do or Christmas 2024 is not looking cheery. The Champ has 91 felony indictments against him.

Demands vs Agreement
I think folks sometimes forget the difference between agreements and demands. In recent weeks we have seen politicians indulging in demands. It’s full out “my way or the highway.” Take that guy who lives in Florida but is the senator for Alabama. What’s his name? The washed out football coach. Toomy Tumbleville, yeah something like that. This poor guy really wants to make his mom proud. The problem is there’s nothing to crow about. Toomy has “religious” reasons for not promoting US military personnel. Since there are some 300+ military officers whose lives he has made more difficult, Toomy is making a demand. There is no space for agreement in his stance.

The M.O. of the GOP
Did you know that immigration is the reason the United States has the lowest inflation rate in the western world? No Jive. This is according to the Congressional Budget Office. Not only that, immigrants are predicted to add 7 trillion dollars to the GDP during the time span of 2023 to 2034¹. That’s from Congress’s own Budget office. I’m not sure, but I kind of think that’s a lot of money. Now what?

Dear Future President
It's time for another political article because as I surf through Twitter and Youtube I'm seeing post after post about Trump and Kamala. Oy ve and a half. Look what America has been reduced to: Trump, the felon who causes insurrections or Kamala, the brain dead druggie who can't complete an actual real sentence. We are so doomed. Still, if I could vote, I'd give my vote to the felon. At least I can understand him when he speaks.

The Sunderbans Mangrove. Content Warning. AI-Generated.
The Sunderbans, located at the delta of the Ganges, Brahmaputra, and Meghna rivers in the Bay of Bengal, stands as one of the world's most unique and vital ecosystems. Stretching across India and Bangladesh, this vast mangrove forest covers approximately 10,000 square kilometers, serving as a critical barrier against coastal erosion and cyclonic storms. Its importance extends far beyond its geographical boundaries, encompassing ecological significance, biodiversity conservation, and socio-economic sustainability.

Unrighteous rules keeping the beach from the public
Last night I was restless and had some extra energy. I also had some gas in my now running car so I decided to go to the beach. It was after 9 p.m. but I figured it's summertime and it would be nice to walk on the sand under the moonlight. I had enough money for public parking if there was to be a fee for evening parking. To my discontented surprise, when I got there to Clearwater Beach, the public parking area was closed off and the whole beach area looked like a ghost town. I drove down the boulevard that follows the beach passing hotel after hotel and the quietness and stillness was eery, almost creepy and spooky. Where was everyone in the middle of July?
