Ponniyin Selvan
Ponniyin Selvan is a historical novel written by Kalki Krishnamurthy(1955), one of the most prominent Tamil writers of the 20th century. The novel is set in 10th century South India, during the reign of the Chola dynasty(947-1014), and tells the story of the early life of Rajaraja Chola I, one of the greatest emperors of the Chola dynasty. The novel is widely considered one of the greatest works of Tamil literature and is considered a classic in Tamil literature.
