Free Reading #11, for 2021 Mirror Dragon Tarot
Mirror Dragon Tarot Each week when I do these readings I set up my reading space with black fabric (for the photo, mostly but it also allows for and smooth, calm space to focus on the cards) make sure I have undisturbed quiet time; dogs are out, husband is at work/play/store/whatever, phone is off, etc… I begin with a quick grounding meditation and settle into a centered peace to ask for guidance in choosing the cards which will be most appropriate for the week ahead. I shuffle the cards with my intent in mind and spread them in a dealer’s “ribbon spread”. Then with eyes closed, I ask for the Center card, the West card and finally, the East card, reaching out to the spread, touching the cards and choosing the one that feels most fully under my finger tip, then sliding them into their positions. Before opening my eyes I return to a calm, centered state and do my best to sense whether the three cards I’ve chosen are the most fitting for the highest and best for all involved. Only then do I turn them face up and photograph them for the reading. There are times when I see the three cards before me and groan or breathe a sigh of relief but I always use the cards I’ve selected ”blindly”.

Healing Dis-Ease
All dis-eases arise as a result of a physical, emotional, mental or spiritual blockage. Physical blockages can usually be attributed to a poor diet and lack of exercise. Emotional blockages occur as a result of stored toxic emotions such as shame, guilt, anger or jealousy. Mental blockages form because of an over-attachment to negative thoughts or the personality. Spiritual blockages are energetic traumas from the past or childhood.

Jesus and Siddhartha
There are probably no greater spiritual teachers in human history than Joshua ben Joseph, (aka Jesus of Nazareth) and Siddhartha Gautama, (aka Buddha.) Both had life-transforming experiences around the age of thirty. Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness before beginning his public career. Siddhartha had a revelation sitting under a fig tree: both of them had an enlightened wisdom, a new way of seeing the world that no one had noticed before.

How to honor your own Inner Temple
Often in our societal way of life we rely too heavily on our rational minds and disregard the innate intelligence that is our own inner wisdom. This wisdom can only be felt and cannot be made sense of by the logical mind. We live in a culture riddled with anxiety & rat-racing, and if only we learned to detach from the illusionary chaos that takes us over when we cannot get out of our own heads, we would see the world with greater clarity and each other with unconditional compassion. We would stop taking life so seriously, when really it is just a ride, and we would be more divinely guided in fulfilling our heart’s desires.

To Touch the Face of God
I WENT UP the stairs ahead of the others, so fired up to see what lay ahead. The three students with me were younger than me, much younger, but I ran on ahead of them up the thousand narrow steps to the top of the temple where they told us the monks were waiting. I was anxious to see them. I'd been told about this place from friends who'd visited similar temples across China. So this was my first time to see one and I could hardly wait.

Those of the Body, and Those of the Mind – The Two Kinds of People and The Gap Between Them
Quick Facts -Some people are ‘of the mind.’ They think, theorize, and conceptualize. Some people are ‘of the body.’ They are sensual, like physical comforts and riches, and they’re usually okay with working.
