However, dating in the Millennial generation is increasingly difficult.

Our First Date
It all started with an app. Tinder actually, my roommate in university convinced me to make a profile. She, being the promiscuous type, was likely to find what she was looking for. Myself, not so much. I talked to a few guys, when I didn't think they were too bad I asked a couple to go for coffee. None were up for such an adventure. So about a month passes, I venture home for Christmas break and as my location changes so do the candidates on this app. I happened to match up with this cute Italian guy, we got to talking and not long after he sends me his phone number via cheesy pick-up line. We texted basically non-stop for about a week then one night, he made a sarcastic remark about what his voice sounds like. I was in a particularly good mood so I was a bit bold, I called him. No warning. After that our days would end with phone calls to each other sometimes lasting four to five hours. We talked about everything our childhoods, past relationships, high school, family, our futures, literally everything. I really enjoyed this guy's conversation and his personality. I asked him if he'd like to meet me in person, I suggested we grab a coffee.

All It Takes
Early August 2016. The same day I lost faux-love, I found the real thing. I spent four years in a relationship with a guy I fell for my senior year. He taught me how to stand up to one of my fears, and expanded many of my horizons, as I was a very sheltered child. Long story short, we dated four long, strenuous years. A lot was said, and one thing led to another and I was giving him the key to his apartment back saying, "We're done!"

The Art of Long Distance
Growing up, I never really believed in true love. I always wanted to, I mean, what little girl doesn't want their knight in shining armor to save them from the grand evils of the world? But, it was never a realistic goal for me. My dad abandoned my family when I was four and my mom divorced him when I was ten, so "true love" seemed like a fabricated lie that was only found in movies and the suburbs.

Uncomfortable. Bold. Salty. These are three words to describe having sex with a person for the first time. You guys are finally alone, and although in your fantasy of this moment you had a lot to talk about with this person, suddenly you're speechless. The silence is so awkward that it becomes deafening, not to mention, if you tend to be anxious like me, your hands are probably all hot and sweaty, and yet in the same instance, you can't wait to touch who you hope to become future bae, or maybe it’s simply a booty call.
