Books and Their Screen Adaptations
We see many books that are recreated into screen adaptations. Society in itself would tell you to read the book first before watching the movie, so you could follow along clearly. I am here to challenge that ideology and want to pose a few points to keep in mind the next time you find yourself battling this question. Reading the book first before watching its screen rendition is great, but they are two different mediums.

Growing into Courage
“Once upon a time…” It seems like every child knows that a good story is bound to follow this phrase, usually regarding tales from a land far away and quite different from the known world. Beauty and the Beast (Grimm Brothers) was that ideal story for me. In my mind this was an amazing fairytale adventure, and even as a young child I contemplated running away to discover a castle in the woods. Let me put this in perspective: I lived in the middle of the Texas wilderness, and any tree that grew was planted deliberately in a front yard or was more commonly just the bush of a tumbleweed. As an adult, I still have the urge to break out of my box, struggling with the realization that the relationships and experiences that I have right now are still important. However awkward the process of growing up was, it has given me some good insight on what it means to live outside my comfort zone, to experience joy even when I have to stay right where I am. There is evidence that the themes of beauty, insight and courage resonate with many other people as well. This old story has so many reiterations through plays, books, movies, and tv shows. It teaches my inner child to stay alert for new adventures and to always fix my eyes on hope.

The Handmaid's Tale
The Handmaid's tale is a cultural phenomenon! For anyone who has seen the television show, one can see and infer many similarities in our present world and this dystopian future. The book the show inspired has many similarities as well as many differences. This is to be expected as the book is a stand alone novel where as the series is able to go into depth with what the book speaks of. We shall first speak of the broad differences before going in deeper to the details of the book versus the show.

Life choices
Which is better? I have been going back and forth about returning to an Apple iPhone, get the Apple watch, an iPad and a MacBook pro. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10, which I love. I love my pink, gold, and white phone case and the pen or should I say stylus that comes with it. I do everything on my phone. Checking social media. Running my business and managing orders. I am creating collages from the photos I take and even found an app to draw so that I can make my designs for my business. When it concerns any of the gaming apps. . .I usually pick ones where I am getting rewarded points towards Amazon or PayPal. As for tablets, I currently use my Kindle and that is just to read my digital books. My laptop is not a Samsung, but a Dell. It does its job. All my other electronics are Samsung: tv, washer, dryer, microwave, refrigerator, stove, and yes, the dishwasher too.

Loki: A Premiere Worth Waiting For
SPOILERS FOR LOKI, EPISODE 1 When I first heard that Marvel was going to be starting off its next phase by airing a bunch of direct to TV mini-series, I was intrigued but largely unexcited. The characters of the MCU and their stories always felt like they were made for the big screen, and I thought that by condensing them into a shorter format, a lot of the charm and uniqueness of the shared universe was going to have to be sacrificed. I’m happy to say that I was proven wrong…so far.

Loki Is Officially The First Queer Superhero In The Marvel Cinematic Universe
It's more than just a tease, though – actor Tom Hiddleston, as well as the show's head writer Michael Waldron, have confirmed in interviews that Loki is gender-fluid in the latest Marvel TV series, meaning that he doesn't identify all the time as exclusively male or female.
