REFLECTIONS OF THE HEART
REFLECTIONS OF THE HEART As she walked down the road in her small hometown, she looked around her. Almost everything was gone or destroyed beyond repair. Buildings had crumbled and collapsed, leaving the once peaceful Southern landscape a war-torn tragedy. The war, if you want to call it that, only lasted four days and completely incapacitated the United States. They took the country without warning and by storm. Whatever they were. Some say aliens, others say robots, some of the ignorant still attempting to hold on to the old reality say it was the Russians, I say it was God who was not happy with what he saw and finally had enough. Initially there was only one of them. I watched the footage over and over on my Grandmas Television. It was all that was on every station. I think the same people who destroyed the country purposely left the cable and internet intact so we could see what was going on. They were showoffs and everyone was compelled to watch.

The Power of the Gods
The world is dying, and I have the burden of feeling it all. I watched helplessly as he drained the world of all the life I had brought into it. I saw him in his human form when he was giving his speech during the First Festival. As I looked up at him with his broad shoulders and dark skin, a surge of joy rushed through my body, and I knew it was him. Only he would create a problem, and then make himself the savior He loved to be worshipped. And despite all the destruction he has caused, I could not help but to love him still. I guess that is why after the festival was over I found myself walking towards the temple he lived in. I pushed through the crowd of people hoping to make it to the temple doors before he did.

Death; the end?
This place that is now a desolate wasteland was once my home. This place, so riddled with grief, anger and death was once rich with compassion and peace... and hope. When I look at the grey skys, smell the mixture of dead bodies that are piled in the streets and demolished building I can’t help but weep about how it never had to be this way.

Lockets for Sale or Trade
Lockets For Sale or Trade “Lockets! Get your heart lockets here!”, the man called out. “I got red ones, I got yellow ones, I got green ones too”, he put emphasis on ‘green’, smiling slyly as the voices in the large hall went from a deafening roar to a stunned silence. Now that he had their attention he continued with his pitch.
