The Bunny is my Spirit Animal
Bunnies are the Best! Whenever I get asked about what animal I consider to be my spirit animal, I always say the bunny. Bunnies are my favourite animal. They are so sweet and cuddly. Looking at them just melts my heart. My boyfriend has a pet bunny, but his family does not interact with it. I wish his bunny would not be so afraid to interact with others, but that is going to take some time because all everyone does is give her food and then leave her alone. My actual zodiac animal sign is the tiger, but I am nothing like the tiger. Here are some ways I relate to these beautiful adorable creatures:

Toke Makinwa Finally Responds to Claims That Gulder Ultimate Search Failed Because of Her
Gulder Ultimate Search returned last year September after 9 whole years of being off-air. Unfortunately, despite amazing production and top-notch marketing, the show didn't end up becoming the phenomenon that creators thought it would be. Viewership wasn't as high as anticipated and in the general discourse, the show was regarded as a 'flop'. Theories on why this was the case varied but one that caught the attention of blogs and the public was the accusation that the show wasn't as successful because influencer and businesswoman Toke Makinwa was slated as host.

My Brain is Broken
Having unipolar mania is quite a different experience that most people can't relate to. No matter how bad my reality is, I feel I live a utopian existence. I have a load of credit card debt, many, many, isolated friends that I refer to as the island of misfit toys, and a below average wage earning job, that in many ways is demeaning to me, but I love every minute of life.

My First Pregnancy
Here we are. You probably clicked this wondering, what in the world does that mean? Well, I meant exactly that. Now, I wasn't forced against my will to carry my baby. I just knew it was something I only half wanted at the time. The reason I say 'half wanted' is because this baby is from a relationship that hasn't even been 1 year; that anyone will consider a toxic relationship when I tell them how we argue and how he is when he's angry/drunk angry. I also say 'half wanted' because I don't feel we're both financially ready. I also say 'half wanted' because I wanted to be done with my school and be married before I carried half of someone's child.

I can't listen to breakup songs anymore.
It's March in Chicago, and still, I have my windows open. The icy air bursts through the cracks and freezes the streaks of tears on my face. No one is on the roads and I maneuver the car with muscle memory, it's all I have left. Quietly, a song I don't know plays under the sound of the wind. I don't focus on the words to know what they say, I don't care. The melody and the wind intertwine to make a new melody of drunken pain.

A Cult Introduced Me to a More Tolerant World
I was a teenager obsessed with the unusual and the strange, looking for connection beyond the mundane. I remember spending lunchtimes in the school library reading fantasy books, and it was here I picked up a copy of Hal Lindsey's book "Satan is Alive and Well on Planet Earth", thinking it was a science fiction book. That started the idea of religion and prophecy and exciting things beyond the boring here and now. Not long afterwards, my brother picked up a glossy, free magazine called the "Plain Truth" in Dublin City. With attention-grabbing titles in slick fonts like "What's ahead for 1986 and beyond!" (Note the exclamation mark, no doubt in their minds), it grabbed my doubt-filled mid-1980s mind. In other words, I was hooked. It wasn't drugs or alcohol, but it was just as addictive. You could do all these free courses and books like "The United States and Britain in prophecy" and learn all about "THE TRUTH". I ate it all up. What was known as 'Armstrongism" had got a hold of me.

Finding Beauty in An Ugly Place. Top Story - April 2022.
Looking through photographs of me when I was a little girl, you would find that I was a thin girl with blonde hair and blue eyes that were very apparent to everyone. I turned from a skinny toddler to a tall, rectangle-shaped teenage brunette who is wide enough to be noticed by a lot of people. I had a lot of attention directed at me, the majority of it very negative from my peers and adults. I always thought of myself as “ugly” because my hair was cut very short, I was tomboyish, and I did not have very feminine features. I was also suffering from emotional problems due to bullying at school and also abuse in the home. I had hardly any positive role models except for my English teacher who stood by me through it all until she retired.

“Freedom Caravans” between the interest of the individual and the interest of the group
The wave of protests that became known as “Freedom Caravans” had started in Canada when hundreds of heavy truck drivers and thousands of protesters succeeded in blocking main roads and some vital bridges in the federal capital, Ottawa and other places, but the infection quickly crossed the ocean and spread to a number of European countries. These include France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.
