How Maradona inspired modern football
Diego Armando Maradona was born on October 30, 1960, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began his professional career with Argentinos Juniors at the age of 16 and quickly established himself as one of the most promising young players in the country. In 1982, he moved to Barcelona, where he helped the team win the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup. However, his time at Barcelona was plagued by injuries, and in 1984 he was transferred to Napoli, where he would go on to have the most successful period of his club career. With Napoli, Maradona won the Serie A title twice, the Coppa Italia twice, and the UEFA Cup once.

The Virtue of Patience
I said on Friday that if Tottenham Halfspur lost this match that we'd be a very glum group going into the new week. Defeat to Arsenal sees us lose crucial ground for top 4. Fulham away and City twice on the horizon? The picture might look very different in a month's time and not in a good way. The FA Cup is a winnable prize, so long as our betters are too engrossed in their fight at the top of the table. And February provides us with a chance to pad our wallets in Milan. Arsenal have avenged their heartbreak in May; they've resigned us to near-apathy. Let's skip the wallowing (and try not to kick Aaron Ramsdale in the head too many times) and get straight into it.

Tottenham vs Arsenal: Calm Before the Storm
What can I say about Tottenham? Arsenal have a word for us, but I won't repeat it here. Are they right? On occasion. Gennaro Gattuso, a man Tottenham fans took to social media to reject as a potential manager, ironically might have had us sussed out the best; sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe... what Arsenal said.

Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi About Lionel Messi is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Barcelona and the Argentina national team. He is widely considered one of the greatest footballers of all time and has won numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. Messi led Argentina to victory in the tournament two years later, and he received the Golden Ball award. His success continued at the 2022 World Cup. There he guided Argentina to the finals, where he scored two goals—and made a penalty kick during the shootout—to help defeat France. Messi won the World Cup’s Golden Ball, becoming the first male player to receive that award twice.

Lionel Messi V Cristiano Ronaldo
Last night saw yet another epic El Classico where Lionel Messi and Cristano Ronaldo continued their ongoing battle for World supremacy. Barcelona and Real Madrid played out a spectacular 2-2 draw with Ronaldo and his arch nemesis Messi scoring all of the goals. These two players are taking the art of a footballer to whole new levels, but whilst there is no denying that they are the stand-out talents of their generation, and perhaps of all-time, the ongoing question is 'who of the two is the greatest?' Whilst there is no definitive correct answer to this, the widely held view over recent years has been that Messi is the King and Ronaldo the very talented Prince. However, the gap between the magical Argentinean and the Portuguese adonis appears to be closing, with some feeling that Ronaldo now deserves the crown of 'World's Best Player'.
