King Charles - Loveblood
A Little Background Around ten years back my daughter told me about the amazing guy she had seen live. She has excellent musical taste (takes after her dad) and we both went to see him at an all-day Festival at Hoults Yard in Byker and at the new Riverside next to the Tyne in Newcastle.

Meet The Humans by Steve Mason
Introduction Someone (probably Marek at RPM) cajoled me into buying this album. I took his advice and may be listened to it once. Steve Mason was a member of The Beta Band who are a favourite of mine and I always loved “It’s Not Too Beautiful” which sampled that swirling theme from Disney’s “The Black Hole” and from that, I bought all their albums.

A Brief History of "Cheesecake" by Louis Armstrong
Louis Armstrong was a trendsetting musician on several different levels. Armstrong was one of the first popular African American entertainers to "crossover" to wide popularity with international (and Caucasian) audiences. He was able to access the upper echelons of society in the United States at a time when this was difficult for black men.

It's Not Blue Monday - Some Favourite New Order Songs
Introduction. New Order rose from the ashes of Joy Division and Ian Curtis’ suicide, and Joy Division were previously incarnated as Warsaw. New Order and Joy Division had Nazi origins and many punk bands donned Nazi regalia before it was seen, rightfully as an endorsement of Fascism, which ironically most of the punk movement was against.

A Plagiaristic Playlist
Introduction There are many songs that borrow from others, some acknowledge their source, and some don’t. Some are deliberate and some are accidental. These are some that I have noticed over my life and you may agree with me or disagree with me, some are obvious and some are a little harder to discern but hopefully, you will enjoy all of them. All of the songs are excellent it;s up to you whether or not you agree with me, but hopefully, this will spur some commentary.

Sam Fender - The Shields Springsteen
What This is About I am sixty five years old and I see so many people going on about how rubbish modern music is. It's true that our musical tastes are formed between the ages of fourteen and sixteen and I still love the music that I was exposed to at that age, though I also picked up a guitar and thought I could maybe make it, fifty years on I am still trying to teach myself though people say that my singing sounds a bit like Neil Young.

Songs my ADHD Has on Repeat: Part II
For those of you who haven’t read part one of this series, I’ll give you the quick recap: To my recent discovery, researchers have found that a side effect of severe ADHD is listening to the same songs repeatedly for a short burst of time. Considering I’ve been doing this since the dawn of the original iPod shuffle, where I could clip that beautiful silver bullet to my belt loop and walk around like an absolute boss, I’ve had ADHD much longer than initially thought.

Listening To Music On The Move
Introduction I have had some issues with phones dying on me, using backup phones and eventually landing up with my Google Pixel 4XL. Since I got it I have not actually listened to any music on it even though I have some excellent wireless earphones/buds. I did load some music on for when I was going to use it but when I was walking I just didn’t bother listening to anything.
