Separation
My shadow trapped me inside the hall of mirrors. I saw endless images of me that were reflections of times of sadness and loss. She was out and about acting like she was me. I could hear the yelling and screaming. The banging and crashing down the halls echoed loudly.

The Last Thing I Remembered
The last thing I remember is staring at a photo of my grandmother, mother, and myself as a baby. The next thing I know I am in the 1920’s in a buggy. There is a man who turns to look at me. He resembles a young version of my grandfather. “Miriam, are you feeling okay?”

Stitching Stories of Me
When the gray skies roll in and my soul feels torn and incomplete, I go for a run. As I climb up the hills and see the side of the slopes there is a feeling of breaking through a web of negative thoughts and feelings. The ascent reminds me of flying out of my dark past and into the light.
