Scream: The series that inspired me to study filmmaking
It is the summer of 1997. Me and my older sister are over my dad’s house for the weekend. My dad shares a place with my uncle who has a lot of movies. My uncle lets me and my sister watch movies from his stash, our favorite movie to watch out of all of them: Scream (1996). This movie would of course become one of my favorite films ever and it also became a hit series. This series would become my top favorite movie series of all time and the reason why I have a passion for the art of filmmaking.

The Gift
Thursday night, December 15th. At the Gilmore family home the Gilmores are packing their bags to take their yearly family Christmas trip to the mountains. Otis and his wife Mary are downstairs packing in their room while their children Jacob and Tamara are upstairs in their rooms packing. “Did they call you back and confirm our reservation at the cabin?” Otis asked Mary. “Yes.” She replied. “Johnny made sure we were good earlier today, they’ll have the cabin ready before we get there.” As they filled their luggages with clothes there seemed to be an aura of contempt between them. They periodically were making eye contact with each other with straight faces, but were not speaking to each other.

The Dragon and the Falcon
~~And you Tommy are the falcon, wing lord of the skies - Dulcea (Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (1995)). Without a doubt, I would tell anyone that this moment from the 1995 Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers movie is one of my favorite moments from the Power Rangers franchise. I love how it establishes the role of leadership for my all time favorite Power Ranger, Tommy Oliver, portrayed by the legendary Jason David Frank. This past Sunday the world loss Jason David Frank and like countless other fans, I was overwhelmed with sadness at the passing of such an amazing person. His passing inspired me to write an article celebrating his life, work, and impact that made him so beloved to the world.

Yibambé: a review and analysis of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Do you know what the term “Yibambé” means? In the African language known as Xhosa it means “Hold Strong”. The term became very popular in 2018 when it was chanted by the Black Panther and the Wakandan empire in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinty War. Yibambé is the perfect term to describe the greatness of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, because this film definitely holds strong. From beginning to end, Wakanda Forever is an emotional roller coaster that will make you laugh, cry, and jump for joy at all of it’s amazing moments. This film had some big shoes to fill when you keep in mind it’s predecessor and deceased leading man and without a doubt did this following film fill those shoes perfectly.
