The Norton Shakespeare
Riverside will do in a pinch

I don’t pull this book off the shelf often for a simple reason—it’s heavy, so heavy that it’s a tome, not a book, and I can look up most of the Shakespeare I need in paperback Norton anthologies, but when I need this book, there are few substitutes that can give me everything I need. I had trouble finding it today, thinking it already lived on a recently curated shelf in the room where I breathe best.
It wasn’t there. Obviously, I found it (in the loft, in a stack that’s moving into this room), but before I did, I told Patrick that I couldn’t find it, then said, “If I can’t find it, your Riverside Shakespeare will do.” I was immediately hit by how incredibly fortunate I am to be married to a man who has a reputable Shakespeare anthology I can borrow if I can’t find mine. I truly live in a luxury of literature, love, and rocks.
Now, to reread the Scottish play.
