With Broken Wings

I will learn to walk

With Broken Wings

My wings are broken, that’s okay,

I used to fly, but now I stay.

I once felt free, up in the air,

Now I walk with lots of care.

The storms were tough;

they brought me down,

I lost my joy, I lost my crown.

deep inside, I still feel light,

I know that I will be all right.

I’ll take my time, piece by piece,

I’ll find my strength, I’ll find my peace.

Though my wings are not like before,

I’ll learn to fly and seek for more.

I’ll take a step, then one more,

With all my heart, I’ll start to soar.

Even with wings that are not whole,

I’ll chase my dreams, I’ll reach my goal.
