White Quiet Snow And Ice

This winter has been so long

White Quiet snow and ice

It comes in silence, thick and slow,

a hush too heavy, too full to hold.

The sky unravels, pale and blind,

laying traps of ice behind.

The roads forget where they have been,

ghosted under glass too thin.

Footsteps falter, breath turns tight,

shadows swallowed by the white.

The world is brittle, smooth, and bare,

no warmth, no color, only air.

Beneath the weight, beneath the cold,

the earth is lost, the dark takes hold.

Fingers numb and voices thin,

the air too sharp to let them in.

A sky that falls but makes no sound,

a frozen hush that drags you down.

The trees bow low, branches strain,

locked in ice like snapped remains.

No footprints last, no path stays true—

the snow forgets, and so do you.

This is perfect for me and one that loves the snow. Good job.
