The Storm and the Oak Tree

Lightening strikes the tree is dead

The Storm and the Oak Tree

The storm raged,

a fury unleashed,

As lightning split

the darkened sky.

A bolt of fire,

swift and keen,

Struck the old oak,

reaching high.

The mighty tree,

once proud and strong,

Now shook in fiery pain.

Embers danced,

a chaotic show,

As flames consumed

the ancient wood.

Black smoke billowed,

miles around,

A grim reminder

of the storm's might.

The forest watched

in silent dread,

As nature's power

took its hold.

The leaves, once green,

Now charred and black,

against the sky.

Life, once vibrant,

now unseen,

Extinguished by

the fiery breath.

The fallen giant,

stark and bare,

A haunting echo

in the air.

This is kind of a sad poem. Maybe an acorn fell, and a new oak will start to grow. Good work.
