The bluest eyes

I fell in love, now I am a sad and lonely man

The bluest eyes

She had the bluest blue eyes,

I fell in love with her at first glance.

But it seems blue eyes aren’t a guarantee,

She was ready to take a chance.

Outside, a beauty queen,

Inside, an empty, hard hearted shell.

I thought I’d walked into romance,

Instead, I bought a room in hell.

Now I’m just a lonely man,

Craving life and love,

Yet God seems to have other plans,

I’m last in line, not enough.

The love I seek, it slips away,

A constant battle, day by day.

I gave my heart, I gave my soul,

But still, it seems, I’m not whole.

Last in line, a quiet sigh,

Wondering will love always pass me by.
