I have swallowed so many words

they've started

growing roots.

One day someone asked

are you okay

and I said yes

so fast

it scared me.

>

The loneliest thing

isn't being alone.

It's standing in a room full of people

and realizing

your name

in their mouths

is not you.

>

I keep looking for myself

in old photographs.

Still haven't found one

where I look free.

>

But I am still here.

That's not nothing.

Some days

that's

everything.
