A New Day
Stepping outside for the first time in a while
Big bright rays shine in my eyes
The big orb of light in the sky blasting away on this new day
Feeling the warmth of it caress my face
This beautiful gentle embrace
Mother Nature being herself
Showing off her goddess finesse
Time stands still just for a moment
Familiar feeling lasting for life
Smelling fresh cut grass lingering in the air
All my worries and thoughts whisked away
A slight breeze brushing through
Wind tousled hair floats all about
Calming sounds all around relaxing the mind
Birds chirping and trees swaying ever so slightly
Momentarily drifting away with this sense of serenity and grace
This reminder that everything will be just fine
A reminder that it’s a wonderful thing to be alive
