seeing a new vision about womanhood, . .
becoming thy greatest female Chinese film star of her day, . .
why?
standing tall, smiling as thy Goddess of Cinema, . . .
enjoying thy sacred fruits of her stardom, . . .
loving her new wealth, her good looks, . .
why?
finding one day, the press attacking her, . .
being accused of doing what all male stars do,
having love affairs, starting to become confused, . . .
why?
dying from such patriarchal accusations, . .
fighting against thy press, slowly moment my moment,
becoming sadder, being more depressed, . . .
being imprisoned by stereotypical views , . .
why?. . .
feeling enchained by hypocritical standards for women, . .
being obedient, raising many kids, cooking for thy man, . . .
protesting boldy, no, no, no. . . .
dying on thy International Woman's Day, . .
why?
committing suicide, ending her short life, . . .
saying that all women are equal to all men, . . .
why?
dying young, with the largest of funerals, especially, women
crying, mourning, realizing that they . .
being too critical of thy Goddess, . .
