Legacy That Lives On Today

Young grandparents

By Rowan Finley Published about 17 hours ago 1 min read
Grandpa John and Grandma Ellen Balogh. These are my father's parents.

I dream of what you both were like when you smiled in this photo.

You raised seven beautiful children,

five sons and two daughters.

I know you would be proud of them all and their children, too.

It makes me smile knowing you both were happy in this photo.

There’s a part of me that wishes I could travel back in time,

just to shake the younger version of your hands.

What did your laugh sound like when you were younger?

What things got on your nerves?

I’m proud of your hard-work and commitment to one another,

it sure paid off,

and lives on in the legacy that I witness today.

A beautiful snapshot of life and a treasured keepsake. Something that you can show your grandkids and they can show to theirs too. ❤️💫
