He Swapped Her for a Man
He could not deny it any longer. He came out at last

He Swapped Her for a Man
She cooked his tea and rubbed his back,
Wore his ring and took the slack.
Smiled through lies and stood by him,
No thinking, she watched her marriage die.
She wasn’t for him, he made it clear,
He liked his kisses cold and severe.
He liked his lovers with muscle, tone,
She was just a stepping stone.
She cried for years in silence, grim,
While he played best friends, close with him.
“Just mates,” he said, with lying grin,
He always picked him over her.
The stares, the jokes, she felt them sting,
Still washed his socks, did everything.
Then came the day he made it plain,
“You’re not my type,”
voice low, he said in shame.
She knew it was over for good,
when he walked out the door.
To him, she was nothing, just a bore.
Replaced, erased, with not a glance,
Just tossed aside for bromance.
She doesn’t cry, not anymore.
She shut her heart and locked the door.
Let them have fun with secret shame,
She walks alone, and he’s to blame
