Equal
Because You Matter (A bilingual poem- with translations aside)
Me da igual (It doesn't matter to me/ It is equal to me)
It gives me equal
Neither pleasure nor displeasure
It keeps me neutral
When the stress of life makes me high strung
You balance me out, you keep me young.
When I just want to cry in the depths of despair
You hold me tight and you just sit there.
You see, by giving me equal it doesn't mean I'm not bothered
I feel safe and protected, the way that I should
You do bring me joy and I hope for you the same
Because a day without you is totally lame.
And that's where there's a difference
Porque tú me das igual (Because you do matter to me)
You give me equal kindness, equal patience and equal hope.
Equal life, equal love, equal happiness.
Equal to what I pray I give you
Y eso no me da igual. (And that does matter to me)
