A man of ice
He destroyed my faith in love

A man of ice
His icy heart sealed the door,
left me reaching, grasping for more.
Cold as stone, sharp as glass,
love was nothing—just a past.
Once I trusted, once I swayed,
thought that warmth could never fade.
Now the chill runs through my veins,
love’s a loss, not worth the pain.
He cut with words that left no trace,
each wound a shadow on my face.
The tender mind, the fragile heart,
shattered pieces pulled apart.
His silence crushed the hope I knew,
and in its place, a fear that grew.
The gentle thoughts I held so dear,
now twisted, tangled in my fear.
Where laughter bloomed, sorrow stands,
the softness gone from loving hands.
Each tender thought turned bitter, sharp,
as winter deepened in the dark.

Oof, this one’s like a winter storm for the heart. The chill hits hard, but in a totally gripping way. Love gone cold? You nailed it.
