It's Sad How Few Great Ideas Get To See The Light Of Day

We all have them, but what does your great idea need to feed it and grow it into a reality?

Wouldn't it be nice if you could see first hand what is out there? That's the rub of it all, that most will never see what's out there? But, what if you could?

As I approach that point in the battle with Cancer where you start to wonder, I think about what a great life it might have been to have grown up in this era, instead of the one I grew up during. There are simply more opportunities that come from growing up in this era.

While teenagers make fortunes online, selling everything from workout tapes to Only Fans memberships, and content, the idea is still there for the rest of the world to take a part in, or one would hope.

Content Ideas

Content ideas aren't hard to come by. But, if you're not young, hot, and a gym rat, what kind of content would you pursue. There is written content, such as here on this platform. There's photographic, like on Instagram, and there's video content, which can be pushed on Tik Tok, and even YouTube.

There are so many places to share content, that if you have an idea, it's worth a try. But how do you get started?

Getting started isn't hard, but if you have a bigger idea, you might have to wait it out. Bigger ideas require capital. And if you're not a business tycoon, that might be hard to come by.

So, what's your great idea for content? Remember, when you're making great ideas, you should test whether or not they are ideas that are of interest, would educate people on things, are of value or potential value to people, and will stand the test of time, like an Evergreen Tree. It's called Evergreen Content for a reason.

Recently, I've been working on a long story, that I hope to be a fiction novel. Honestly, its a project that just flowed to where it is. Right now, it's right around novella length, and while I know Amazon KDP is an option, I'm not there today.

It doesn't mean it will be something tons of people flock to, or that in hard back it would sell 5,000,000 copies. But, then again, maybe I'm on to something and with some tweaking, it would. But, what about other ideas? Do you have any small ones? Do you have any huge ones? Let's dig into the huge ones.

Huge Ideas

Huge creative ideas are those that rest in our minds, don't let our brains forget them, and don't go away. For many years, I have had the idea that I'd start a YouTube page. This wouldn't be small, and has series potential. But to do this, I know, I have to rack up some wins or figure out a way to get sponsors.

Why sponsors?

This idea would take a large investment. It wouldn't be something that I could just sit down and create. It would require a few key things to bring it to the starting line.

A newer model SUV, such as a Ford Expedition. The SUV needs to be on the larger side, due to the need for equipment storage and onboard equipment. It would also require, at times, room for more than me. Ideally, I'd find a partner to run the operation with me.

Gee, how do I approach Ford and pitch the idea? But, it would be good to get other sponsors? A dashcam sponsor. A gas card sponsor. A financial sponsor, such as an insurance company willing to invest in the project. All of these would be needed.

Without giving the idea away, it would mean time on the road, exploring the secreted things that are out there to find, and bringing them to the public eye. There are those places in the United States. No, I'm not sharing that with you and giving the idea away, but while on the road, we'd do a podcast, a vlog of the adventure, and written content that would document the adventure as we hunt down the secret things in America.

Along the way, we could bring you the history of the different areas, doing almost documentary like work on each one, as me and my partner explore this great country of ours. It would start out with six to eight episodes on YouTube, the Podcast, and the written work on platforms like Vocal, Substack, Medium, and elsewhere.

What's your big idea? And how will you breathe life into it?
