New Promo Leaked: Answer the Call

The big news today comes from reliable leakers who have revealed the name of the upcoming event: "Answer the Call". While the exact mechanics of the promo remain under wraps, the name has sparked a lot of speculation within the community.

Many believe the event will focus on players who are famous for their "phone call" goal celebrations. We’ve seen iconic images of players like Lionel Messi, Gabriel Jesus, and Antoine Griezmann mimicking a telephone after scoring. It’s highly likely that the card art for this promo will feature these specific poses. Since the current Birthday celebration is winding down, this looks like it will serve as a transition event before we head into the massive Team of the Season (TOTS) period later this spring.

New Icon SBC: Cha Bum-kun

A new Birthday Icon SBC has arrived for the legendary South Korean forward, Cha Bum-kun. This card looks like a very capable striker, though he can also be deployed as a Right Winger (RW), a position that hasn't seen much use lately.

Statistically, Cha Bum-kun is a physical powerhouse. He boasts a perfect 99 Pace, 90 Shooting, 90 Dribbling, and 90 Physicality. He features a 5-star weak foot and 5-star skill moves, which is standard for high-tier Birthday cards. His PlayStyle+ is "Quick Step," which is excellent for a striker, and his silver playstyles include Finesse Shot, Power Shot, and Power Header.

At a completion cost of around 470,000 FC coins, he is reasonably priced for an Icon. While his stats might not strictly outperform some of the top-tier Evolutions or high-end meta cards like Pires, his Icon chemistry links are incredibly valuable for squad building. If you need a reliable, fast striker to fix your team's chemistry, he is definitely worth considering.

New Evolution: 88 CM Upgrades

For those looking to improve their midfield, a new 60,000 FC coin (or 460 FC Points) Evolution is now live. This "88 CM" Evolution is designed for central midfielders and offers some of the best defensive and passing playstyles in the game.

The standout feature of this Evolution is the "Intercept" and "Pinged Pass" PlayStyle+ combination. Most eligible players will receive the Pinged Pass upgrade first. In terms of stat boosts, the upgrade is significant, offering +10 to +20 points in certain areas, though it caps the overall rating at 89.

The defensive cap is set at 86 and shooting at 83. Because of these caps, this Evolution is better suited for a "stay-back" defensive midfielder or a deep-lying playmaker rather than a goal-scoring box-to-box mid. Popular choices for this path include players like Vieira, Frenkie de Jong, and Tchouameni. Even if these players don't become "end-game" after this upgrade, the 89-rated version serves as a great base for future Evolutions.

Ultimate Trial and Daily SBCs

In the Objectives tab, the "Ultimate Trial 43" has been released. Completing these tasks will reward you with packs, including an 88+ Double Pack, and a special Jack Grealish card. While Grealish has 5-star skills and a 5-star weak foot, his 180cm height can make him feel a bit clunky on the ball compared to smaller, more agile wingers like Doku.

Finally, don't forget the daily grind. The 80+ Player Pick is back and repeatable, alongside the 83+ x5 Upgrade which is limited to three completions. Today is also the final day of the Weekend League, so make sure to finish your remaining matches to secure those rewards.
